Kyle Walker, England international, has moved to newly promoted club, Burnley.

Burnley Football Club have confirmed the signing of English right-back, Kyle Walker.

35-year old Walker has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Turf Moor, and links up with his former Tottenham Hotspur and England team-mate, Clarets boss Scott Parker, ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Walker is largely considered as one of the best defenders in the history of the Premier League with 410 English top-flight appearances to his name.

During his spell at Manchester City, the defender enjoyed a trophy-filled career, winning six (6) Premier League titles, two (2) FA Cups and one Champions League, as well as being named in the Premier League Team of the Year on no fewer than four occasions.

The Englishman has recorded ninety-six (96) England caps to his name, and was named in the 2024 UEFA European Championships Team of the Tournament.

He expressed happiness after signing to become a part of the Clarets.

According to the Club’s official website, Walker said: “I’m delighted to be here.

“When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at. He’s done an amazing job here, guiding the Club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul, and now we’re looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world.

“Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, built on an incredible defensive record, and I can’t wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks an exciting squad.”

Walker kicked off his career at boyhood club Sheffield United; his beautiful performances for the Blades, where he was renowned for his pacy attacking forays, as well as his defensive prowess, led to a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

Burnley gained promotion to the Premier League after finishing second on the Championship 2024/25 table with 100 points, same points as League Winners, Leeds United.
