President Tinubu hails Gbajabiamila for contributions to Nigeria’s democracy on COS’ 63rd birthday

President Bola Tinubu has sent his greetings to his Chief Of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the occasion of the former Surulere Constituency Representative’s 63rd birthday, today, Wednesday 25 June, 2025.

The President emphasized his Chief Of Staff’s “salutary contributions to Nigeria’s fledgling democracy and the legislature”, where he spent a large part of his political career.

President Tinubu’s greetings to Gbajabiamila was made known via a State House Press Statement titled ‘President greets Chief of Staff Gbajabiamila on his birthday’, signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday 25 June, 2025.

Femi Gbajabiamila was born on 25 June, 1962 in Lagos State, Nigeria.

President Tinubu prayed Gbajabiamila “long life and good health.”

The State House Press Statement reads: “President Bola Tinubu rejoices with his Chief of Staff, Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, on his birthday today, June 25.

“Gbajabiamila, a lawyer, served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023.

“President Tinubu underscores Gbajabiamila’s salutary contributions to Nigeria’s fledgling democracy and the legislature, where he spent much of his political career.

“Gbajabiamila was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003, representing the Surulere Constituency of Lagos State. He served in the House for six consecutive terms and was both Minority and Majority Leader at different times.

“President Tinubu also notes Gbajabiamila’s commitment to the development of Lagos State, particularly his Surulere constituency.

“The President encourages his Chief of Staff to continue supporting him in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda to create a better, more economically viable, and more prosperous Nigeria.

“He wishes Gbajabiamila a long life and good health.”
