President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in Benue State as he announced following the recent “brutal” attacks in the State.
The President had announced on Monday he will reschedule his official visit to Kaduna State for the North Central State after learning of the magnitude of killings; he said, “enough is now enough”, and charged Security Chiefs to work towards bringing back peace and security to Benue State.
Arriving in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital, President Tinubu headed to see the victims of the attacks in the hospital.
President Tinubu urged Hyacinth Alia , Executive Governor of Benue State, to ensure the reconciliation of the warring parties as he described the killings as “very depressing”.
All the way from the Vatican in Rome, Italy, Head of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, condemned the killings and offered his prayers for the victims of the “terrible” massacre.
