Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has come out to make known that, he is dedicated to supporting the “efforts”, as well as, “policies” of President Bola Tinubu “to bring real and lasting change to the lives of Nigerians”.
The Governor’s statement is coming as he accompanied the President and saw him off as he left Lagos for Abuja.
President Tinubu who has been holidaying in the Southwestern State attended several events including the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) which held in the Victoria Island area of the State.
Following the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee event, the President went ahead to commission several major projects in Lagos, including the completed section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway; the Lekki Deep Sea Port Road which leads to the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals, Lekki.
Governor Sanwo-Olu assured, Lagos State will always “stand ready” to fulfil its part in “building the Nigeria we all hope for”.
Governor Sanwo-Olu took to his official X account and said: “I accompanied His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and saw him off as he departed Lagos following the Sallah break.
“I remain dedicated to supporting his efforts and policies, which aim to bring real and lasting change to the lives of Nigerians.
“I wish him safe travels and success in all his engagements. As always, Lagos stands ready to play its part in building the Nigeria we all hope for.”
President Tinubu returned to Abuja on Tuesday 10 June, 2025 after enjoying Sallah holiday in Lagos. He was received by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
