Investigators disclosed on Friday, all six people aboard a small plane that crashed into a US neighbourhood have died.
The investigators also listed a number of problems that may have caused the incident, including the foggy weather conditions.
Dave Shapiro, US music agent, was among those who died on the plane that went down in Murphy Canyon, San Diego California, on Thursday.
Dan Baker, Investigator of the National Transportation Safety Board said runway lights were out at the time of the crash, and a weather alert system also wasn’t functional when the pilot made the decision to try to land.
The Federal Aviation Administration had released a notice that the lights were not working, however, it is not clear whether the pilot was aware; he is heard saying “doesn’t sound great, but we’ll give it a go” to an air traffic controller.
Mr Shapiro alongside two (2) unnamed employees of the music agency he co-founded, Sound Talent Group, were among those that died, along with Daniel Williams, the former drummer for metal band The Devil Wears Prada.
42-year old Shapiro was listed as the owner of the plane and possessed a pilot’s licence.
