Following his brace for Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup final against Trabzonspor, Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has become the “foreign player” who has netted the most goals in a season with Galatasaray jersey.
Galatasaray cruised past Trabzonspor 3-0 to emerge victorious in the Turkish Cup final on Wednesday 14 May, 2025 at Gaziantep Stadium.
The Super Eagles sharpshooter has scored a whopping thirty-five (35) goals since joining Galatasaray on loan from Italian Serie A club, SSC Napoli.
B. Yilmaz opened scoring and Osimhen scored twice to help the Yellow-Reds lift their 19th Turkish Cup.
Galatasaray wrote: “Most ever goals by a foreign player in Turkish history. Victor Osimhen is now up to 35 goals and counting.”
