United Kingdom: ‘Mark my words: I will take back control of our borders’ – PM Starmer

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, has said, his Labour government “will smash the people smuggling gangs at source“, if that is what it will require to take full charge of the country’s borders.

The UK PM said, “mark my words: I will take back control of our borders.”

He explained what taking back the country’s borders mean, saying, it “means cutting migration, ending the use of asylum hotels, and ramping up our efforts to stop small boat crossings.”

PM Starmer said: “I know you’re angry about immigration. I get it.

“Mark my words: I will take back control of our borders. That means cutting migration, ending the use of asylum hotels, and ramping up our efforts to stop small boat crossings.

“We will smash the people smuggling gangs at source.”
