The Women’s Championship will be known as the Women’s Super League 2 (WSL 2) from the beginning of the 2025-26 season as part of a huge rebrand of women’s professional football in England.
On Thursday, the company that oversees the top two divisions in women’s football – Women’s Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL) – unveiled new names, emblems and a new visual identity.
WPLL also made known a company name change to Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football) which takes effect immediately.
