Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has hailed the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as it launches its Golden Jubilee celebration.
ECOWAS was established on 28 May, 1975 with its Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, and President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria as its Chairman.
The Bloc will hold an Extraordinary Session on the withdrawal of Burkina Faso, Mali an Niger in Accra, Ghana.
“President Tinubu said, ECOWAS has remained true to the bold vision created by its founding fathers and is a beacon of hope for the region’s over 400 million citizens.”
