Leicester City manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, has hailed Zambian striker, Patson Daka, saying, he “presses with intensity”.

The Dutchman is making the statement following Daka’s beautiful performance in the Premier League match on Tuesday 3 December, 2024 against West Ham United at King Power Stadium.
Daka netted the third goal for the Foxes in the 90th minute as Nistelrooy carted all three (3) points in his first match as the Foxes manager with a 3-1 win.
Leicester City will face Brighton and Hove Albion in the top flight game on Sunday 8 December, 2024 at King Power Stadium at 15:00 (WAT); it will be Nistelrooy’s second match in charge.
At his press conference ahead of the match on Sunday afternoon, Nistelrooy said:
On Patson Daka…
“I think you saw his quality on Tuesday in the pressing of the ball, the way he presses with intensity, and the goal he scored. I was pleased to see his performance, he did really well.”
On improvements from West Ham…
“The amount of attempts for West Ham stand out. That was spoken about and rightly so, it’s about analysing that and being in better shape. That’s been a big one for this training week.”
On opportunities for players…
“The squad is key; I mentioned in the team meeting today the Premier League is so intense that we need all the players and everyone involved and ready to help. I like that about this squad.”
On Brighton’s season so far…
“It’s clear how they are performing, where they are in the league. They’ve been getting some excellent results against some top clubs. It’s a fantastic performance from the club, the squad and the manager.”
