Inter overcame some late pressure to seal a second UEFA Champions League semi-final in three (3) campaigns despite a spirited Bayern display – Inter and Bayern finished 2-2 at San Siro in the Uefa Champions League quarter final second leg on Wednesday 16 April, 2025.
Goals from Lautaro Martínez in the 58th minute and former Bayern defender Benjamin Pavard in the 61st minute helped Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri reach the last four for the second time in three seasons despite some fierce late dominance from the German Bundesliga giants.
Harry Kane and Eric Dier scored for Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians in the 52nd and 76th minutes respectively.
The Nerazzurri progress with a 4-3 aggregate victory over there German opponents.
Inter will now face Barcelona in the semi final.

HC: Kompany should work more on Bayern’s defence and also try to stop conceding first and having to come back, it affected the team in the first leg. He now has only the Bundesliga to fight for and maybe the FIFA Club World Cup.
