Former Minister of Education, Obiageli ‘Oby’ Ezekwesili, has cried out saying, “Senators are collectively destroying our democracy” as they fail to “terminate the unlawful suspension of Senator Natasha”.
Ezekwesili asked, “Has the @NGRSenate still not realized that the Senators are collectively destroying our democracy each day it fails to terminate the unconstitutional, unlawful and unjust suspension of Senator @NatashaAkpoti ?”
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi Central was suspended by the Ethics Committee of the Nigerian Senate following her alleged sexual harassment claims against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Ezekwesili said: “Has the @NGRSenate still not realized that the Senators are collectively destroying our democracy each day it fails to terminate the unconstitutional, unlawful and unjust suspension of Senator @NatashaAkpoti ?

“If only some of the Senators in that Red Chamber would introspect and fully comprehend the profoundness of that quote.
“End your ignoble collaboration with @Senator_Akpabio to abuse our public institution @nassnigeria NOW!
“This grave injustice to silence a woman who alleges sexual harassment against the Senate President will most definitely and ultimately not be sustained. Naaaa.
“The question to each of the Senators is, “what will you be remembered for while this injustice is being perpetuated?”
“End the illegality NOW and have Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan return to the Senate to continue her exemplary service to the Good People of Kogi Central Constituency.”
