Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has praised his midfield maestro, Kevin De Bruyne, following his goal and assist that helped Manchester City defeat Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The Spanish boss described De Bruyne’s performance as “brilliant and incredible”.
De Bruyne inspired Manchester City to a 5-2 comeback victory in the Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Saturday 12 April, 2025 at Etihad Stadium.
The wantaway Belgian midfielder pulled one back for the Cityzens in the 33rd minute after Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards had placed the Eagles ahead in the 8th and 21st minutes respectively.
Omar Marmoush, Mateo Kovacic, James McAtee and Nico O’Reilli netted for the reigning Kings in the 36th, 47th, 56th and 79th minutes respectively.
On De Bruyne, Guardiola said: “It’s what he has done for many, many years and many, many games.”
KDB will leave Manchester City at the end of the season following his contract expiration.
Guardiola continued: “He played fantastic and helped us to break this momentum that was not good. The gratitude I have, we have, is huge. He has done incredible and I know that he can deliver, will deliver and he’s happy because he’s helping us. He was brilliant with the ball and so clever. The goal and assist helped us a lot to win the game.”
