Mikel Arteta’s Gunners took the lead in the 33rd minute through Leandro Trossard, converting an assist from Raheem Sterling.
The Toffees levelled from the penalty spot through Iliman Ndiaye in the 48th minute.
In his post-match comments, Arteta said: “I think we deserve more, but that’s what we got at the end. We had two big chances to win the game, we didn’t convert them, so we have to accept the point.”
