French forward, Kylian Mbappe, was the star as Real Madrid cruised past Manchester City by three (3) goals to one (1) in the Uefa Champions League knockout play-off on Wednesday 19 February, 2025 at Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid.
Mbappe’s hat-trick inspired a beautiful win for the Los Blancos over Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens in the second leg of their UCL knockout play-off, sealing a 6-3 win on aggregate.
The former PSG star opened scoring for the Spanish Kings early, in the 4th minute, and went ahead to net the second and third in the 33rd and 61st minutes to secure Real Madrid’s spot in the last 16 stage of the competition.
The visitors clinched their consolation through Nico Gonzalez in the 2nd minute of additional time after converting new signing, Omar Marmoush’s assist.
