Bayern Munich struggled to grab a 1-1 draw in the Uefa Champions League knockout play-off against Celtic on Tuesday 18 February, 2025 at Allianz Arena, thanks to loss time equalizer from defender, Alphonso Davies.
Brendan Rogers’ Celtic were magnificent in Munich as they fought hard to clinch their their first-ever knockout stage match. The visitors went in front in the 63rd minute through Nicolas Kuhn following poor defending from the hosts.
The Hoops who were looking to hold on until extra-time were shocked when Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians levelled through Davies in the 4th minute of additional time.
With this outcome, Bayern Munich progress into the UCL round of 16 where the German side will slug it out with either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen.
