Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has expressed his gratitude to Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, who visited on behalf of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) to condole with the Southwestern State over the loss of thirty-five (35) children in Ibadan last Wednesday.
A stampede which happened at Islamic High School In Basorun, Ibadan claimed the lives of “35 children”, leaving many others injured.
According to Governor Makinde: “Grateful to my brothers, His Excellency @RealAARahman and His Excellency @DapoAbiodunCON, who visited on behalf of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the Southern Governors’ Forum respectively to condole with us over the tragic incident leading to the loss of 35 children in Ibadan last Wednesday.
May the souls of these innocent lives rest in peace and may God continue to comfort their families at this difficult time.”
