2022 Commonwealth Games, Birmingham: Another victory for Tobi Amusan as she wins Gold in Women’s 100m Hurdles plus set new Games record

Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan aka Tobi Amusan, Nigerian track and field event and sprinter has raised the Nigerian colours high by winning the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

With this victory, Tobi Amusan has successfully defended her title at the Games.

The second-time champion of the Commonwealth Games clinched the Gold medal on Sunday after finishing the Women’s 100m Hurdles Final with a 12.30s timing.

Tobi Amusan’s 12.30s timing has become a new record at the Games.

With this feat, Amusan bags the title as the first world champion to clinch Gold in the Women’s 100m Hurdles as well as the first Nigerian athlete to be crowned champion at all levels of athletics in the same year.
