Madrid defeated Frankfurt by two goals to nothing with David Alaba opening scoring in the 37th minute and striker Karim Benzema sealing victory for Los Blancos in the 65th minute after converting Vinicius Junior’s cross.

French sharpshooter Benzema’s goal sees him become the second-highest goalscorer of all time for Real Madrid with 324 goals, ahead of former striker Raul Gonzales who has 323 goals but right behind Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo who tops the list with 450 goals.
