Arsenal took all three points in their fifth Premier League match of the 2022/23 season as they discomfited Aston Villa by 2 goals to 1 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
The Gunners remain toppers of the League table with 15 points after maintaining their perfect kick off to the new season.
This outcome has obviously piled more pressure on English manager Steven Gerrard who has watched his side lose four top flight matches out of five.
Gabriel Jesus opened scoring for the hosts in the 30th minute, Aston Villa improved their performance and found the leveller in the 74th minute through Douglas Luiz.
The Gunners returned to the offensive and regained their lead in the 77th minute after Gabriel Martinelli successfully converted Bukayo Saka’s cross.
Arsenal retain their number one spot on the League table while Aston Villa are still struggling to find their way out of the red zone on the nineteenth spot.
