The World Champions, the United States of America (USA) whitewashed Nigeria’s Super Falcons by four goals to nothing in an international Friendly in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday.
It was the opening match of the Super Falcons’ two-match tour.
Midfielders Ngozi Okobi-Okoeghene, Halimatu Ayinde alongside captain Onome Ebi missed out of the encounter, however, some under-20 National team players were invited into the squad.
Sophia Smith opened scoring for the US team in the 14th minute, Lindsay Horan doubled the lead, Smith scored her second goal from an easy tap-in to make it three for the hosts and Alex Morgan sealed the victory with the fourth goal for the Americans.
Both teams will lock horns again on Tuesday in the second match of the two-match tour at the Audi Field in Washington DC.
