Borussia Dortmund had taken the lead soon after the break when Jude Bellingham headed home from close-range, threatening to end the Citizens’ 20-match unbeaten home run in the competition.
But Stones, returning to the side following a minor injury, grabbed a spectacular equaliser with an unstoppable drive from long range.

And things got even better for City just four minutes later when Haaland’s incredible acrobatic volley from Joao Cancelo’s trivela cross earned the hosts the victory at the death.
