Karim Benzema, Vinicius Jr and Rogrygo have all been at the forefront of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s team’s charge and have not stopped hitting the back of the net with ease.
One player, however, who has kicked off this new season to a shaky start is Belgium international Eden Hazard.
Presently, Hazard is on international duty with his country Belgium, and opened up about his situation at the Spanish top flight club Real Madrid at the camp.
When asked about his play time at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Belgian forward did not hesitate to bare it all, saying, “I want to play”, but “I just play less”.
Hazard, who moved to Real Madrid from English Premier League club Chelsea, said, the “situation” he finds himself at the Spanish club is “delicate”.
He told MARCA, “There have been difficult times because I want to play and I don’t play. I feel good at Real Madrid, I just play less. And when I play, I play well. It’s a delicate situation because I want to play more.”

Out of nine games (six La Liga, two Uefa Champions League and one Super Cup) Real Madrid has played this season, Eden Hazard has featured in four, started one and scored just once in one of Madrid’s Uefa Champions League encounters.
It is a serious worry for Belgium as Eden Hazard lacks enough play time at Real Madrid, especially as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar draws nigh.
Hazard further said, “I want to scratch the maximum number of minutes and get to the World Cup in shape.”
