Zamfara State: ‘We must participate in politics to realise our dreams’ – Women Group declare support for Tinubu and Matawalle

On Friday, the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Progressive Council, came forth and announced their support for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Bello Matawalle’s second term bid alongside all the candidates that will be contesting in the 2023 general elections under the APC.

Dr Barira Ibrahim, Group Coordinator, Zamfara, made the announcement while addressing a huge crowd of women in APC in Gusau.

According to NAN, women numbering thousands participated in the rally which kicked off from the Gusau Women Center to the Government House.

Theme of the event – “Tidying up and Sweeping Zamfara from Top to Bottom”, organized by the Group with the intention to declare support for Tinubu and Matawalle’s candidates and all the candidates under the APC umbrella in the state.

De. Barira Ibrahim said, “therefore, we must declare support for candidates with good plans for women.


“All women in Zamfara agree that we must participate in politics to realise our dreams.


“Zamfara is already home of APC, therefore, no seat should be left to the opposition parties.


“As state coordinator, I am happy to announce that we are going to mobilize and ensure that all women in our localities vote for all APC candidates.


“Our women, especially from the grassroots, benefitted from Mama Kit Health Care Support Projects sponsored by Hajiya Aisha Matawalle for pregnant women.”
