Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyema, has announced, plans of the Airline to commence international flight operations from the recently commissioned Gateway International Cargo Airport in Iperu, Ogun State to London this summer.
This was made known by Governor Dapo Abiodun on Sunday.
The Gateway International Cargo Airport was commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alongside former President, Olusegun Obasanjo; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyaml; and other top personalities on Sunday.
Abiodun disclosed on X, the Southwestern State will launch its State-owned Gateway Airlines, a move the Governor says will further strengthen Ogun State as a “major aviation hub” in Nigeria and West Africa.
Governor Abiodun said: “This development, alongside the commencement of cargo operations, the expected arrival of more international airline partners, and the launch of our state-owned Gateway Airlines, further reinforces our vision of positioning Ogun State as a major aviation, logistics, and business hub in Nigeria and West Africa.”
The Governor expressed “confidence” that, the Gateway International Airport, with its “world-class” infrastructure will continue “to open up greater opportunities for investment” in the Gateway State.

“the Gateway International Airport will continue to open up greater opportunities for investment, trade, tourism, and economic growth in our dear state.”
