Following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran has threatened it will “hit very hard” on Sunday.
This was made known by President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, on Sunday 1 March, 2026.
The threat from Iran is coming following the killing of Khamenei, his daughter, son-in-law, grandson and top security officials by American and Israeli Forces on Saturday.
The US President warned, Iran must not go ahead with its threat as that would force America to strike the Asian country “with a force that has never been before”.
Israel announced, it is attacking targets “in the heart of Tehran”, as Iran resumes its air strikes on Arab Gulf countries with strikes reported in Dubai, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Bahrain.
Trump called Khamenei “evil” and charged the people of Iran to take back their country and steer it to the “greatness it deserves”.
President Trump warned: “Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever hit before. THEY BETTER NOT DO THAT, HOWEVER, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, WE WILL HIT THEM WITH A FORCE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!”
In Iran, while mourners gather in the streets, there are celebrations in several cities in the country.
Following the killing of Khamenei, Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, addressed the people of Iran, saying, Israel will create the conditions for the people of Iran to “free” themselves from what he called the “chains of tyranny”.
The Israeli PM announced, Israel will strike thousands of targets as he told Iranians to seize the “opportunity” and take back their country
Netanyahu said: “In the coming days, we will strike thousands of targets of the terrorist regime. We will create the conditions for the brave people of Iran to free themselves from the chains of tyranny.
“And for this reason, I address you once again:
“O citizens of Iran, do not let this opportunity slip away. This is an opportunity that comes only once in every generation.
“Now is the time to unite your forces to overthrow the regime and secure your future.”
