Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen’s heroics helped Galatasaray scale through Alanyaspor 3-1 on Saturday 28 February, 2026 in the Süper Lig match at RAMS Park in Istanbul.
In a match heavily dominated by the Yellow-Reds, Osimhen assisted one and scored one to ensure Galatasaray remain at the top of the table with five (5) points leading Fenerbahçe, who trail with a game unplayed.
Fenerbahçe will be looking to reduce the gap with Galatasaray when they face Antalyaspor in the top flight on Sunday 1 March, 2026 at 18:00 (WAT).
Galatasaray took the lead in the 2nd minute of first half additional time through S. Boey from L. Torreira’s assist.
Shockingly, just four (4) minutes into the second half, S. Mounie levelled for the visitors, but, Osimhen provided for L. Torreira, who placed Galatasaray back in front in the 58th minute.
And in the 83rd minute, the Super Eagles striker sealed the win for the home side to ensure maximum points.
With this result, Galatasaray remain at the top of the table with fifty-eight (58) points, while, Alanyaspor sit on the 11th spot with twenty-six (26) points.
