‘Those who aid, abet and enable’ terr*rism must face justice – President Tinubu says as he orders ‘hunt down’ of terr*rists behind Kasuwan Daji attack

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the Chief of Defence Staff, Department of State Service (DSS), Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to “hunt down” the terrorists that attacked Kasuwan Daji Village in Niger State.

At least thirty (30) villagers were killed in the attack after the terrorists opened fire in the village, with others abducted.

The Nigerian Leader fumed, these terrorists have “tested the resolve” of Nigeria and its people, saying, they must be made to face the full consequences of their criminal actions.

President Tinubu assured, those that “aid, abet, or enable” these terrorists will also be made to face justice; he said, he does not care “who they are” or their motive, all he wants is for them to be “hunted down”.

He called for “togetherness” among Nigerians so these “monsters” can be confronted in “unison”.

In his statement on his official X account President Tinubu said: “I have directed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the DSS to hunt down the terrorists behind the Kasuwan Daji attack and ensure they are brought swiftly to justice.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down. In addition, those who aid, abet, or enable them will also be brought to justice.

“I have also directed that all abducted victims be urgently rescued and that security operations around vulnerable communities, especially near forests, be intensified.

“These times demand our humanity. We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison. United, we can and must defeat them and deny them any sanctuary.

“We must reclaim peace for these attacked communities.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace.”
