Chelsea appoint Liam Rosenior as head coach until 2032

Chelsea Football Club have announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as Men’s team head coach.

Rosenior put pen to paper on a contract with Chelsea that will make him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2032.

The Englishman arrived at Chelsea after managing French Ligue 1 club, FC Strasbourg, where he guided the French Football Outfit to European qualification for the first time in nineteen (19) years in his first season.

He has also had spells with English clubs, Hull City and Derby County prior to his move to France.

In his statement, Rosenior expressed “extreme” honour after being appointed the Blues Manager, and said, he is ready to “give everything to bring the success this club deserves”.

According to the Club’s official website, Rosenior said: “I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club. This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies.

“My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play as we continue winning trophies. To be entrusted with this role means the world to me and I want to thank all involved for the opportunity and faith in undertaking this job.

“I will give everything to bring the success this club deserves.

“There is a real hunger to win, and I will give everything, every single day, to help this team compete and win at the very highest level to make everyone connected and proud to be a part of Chelsea Football Club.

“I cannot wait to meet you all. I cannot wait to get started.”

Enzo Maresca departed Chelsea after helping the Blues win the Uefa Europa Conference League 2024/25 and the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the United States – beating Uefa Champions League 2024/25 winner, Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG), 3-0 in the final of the UECL.

The Italian manager left Chelsea 5th on the League table with thirty-one (31) points.
