Rivers United bagged all three (3) points after a lone goal victory over Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 match on Wednesday 3 December, 2025 at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Finidi George’s Pride of Rivers scored the only goal of the clash very late, in the 88th minute, when Boluwaji Sholumade netted via header.
The result placed Rivers United on the third spot with twenty-six (26) points after 13 games, one (1) point behind toppers, Ikorodu City, who have played 15 games, while Ahmed Musa’s Kano Pillars are sitting right on the 20th spot (bottom) with just nine (9) points.
