Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State, posted on X: “Dear Lagosians,
“As we celebrate Christmas, I want to send my warm wishes to every family across Lagos and beyond.
“This season is a time to reflect and appreciate how far we have come together as a people. Despite the challenges of the year, our resilience and sense of community have remained strong, and that gives us hope for the future.
“I pray that this Christmas brings peace to your homes and joy to your hearts. Thank you for your continued support and belief in a greater Lagos.

Hope Uzodimma, Executive Governor of Imo State, posted on X: “My Christmas message, delivered after the Holy Eucharist at my home parish, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish, Ozuh-Omuma, centered on the call to be worthy Christians who truly exemplify the virtues we profess.
“I reflected on our collective journey, noting that the security challenges we once faced in the State were, in many ways, politically contrived by individuals who claim Christianity yet harbor hatred for others — a posture clearly not in the spirit of Christ.
“I reminded the fact that Christmas season is a time for sober reflection: to examine how we have fared throughout the year and to make amends where necessary, and in this regard, once more, I call for continued support in our transformation journey.
“Merry Christmas, once again.”
Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State, posted on X: “As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, may our hearts and homes be filled with love, peace and joy. Merry Christmas!”
Alex Otti, Executive Governor of Abia State, posted on X: “THE LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS
“Being the Text of the 2025 Christmas Message by Governor Alex C. Otti, OFR, on December 25, 2025
“1. Umunne m ndi Abia, I bring you joyful greetings this Christmas morning. On this great day when we celebrate the anniversary of the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, it is only proper that we begin on a note of generous gratitude to the Almighty God for sparing our lives and for bringing us into the joy of the yuletide. Let me also welcome our brothers and sisters who have travelled from different parts of the world to share the warmth and affection of the season with us. We are glad to have you in our midst and wish you the full measure of blessings that Christmas promises.
“2. As a government, we appreciate that this season comes with extensive social and economic demands. We have therefore taken extra care to ensure that you can function from any community in the State, however seemingly remote.
“3. We appreciate the dire economic situation many individuals and households are passing through. Within the limits of the resources available to us, provisions for family support packages have been made to cater for the extremely vulnerable in different communities.
“4. We are specially encouraged to be conscious of our choices this season; our appetites and general scheme of activities should be measured, avoid excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, over-speeding, undue aggression and any behaviour that smacks of recklessness or carelessness.
“5. It is Christmas but within the communities, you may also find our engineers still working their construction equipment. We regret the inconveniences these important construction activities may cause but you can rest, assured that necessary mitigation measures have been put in place to limit obstruction to regular social and economic activities.
“6. Finally, may I charge us not to forget the reason for the season. Christmas is about the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Everything should be done with moderation.
“7. Once again umunne m ndi Abia, let me on behalf of my family, the Government and people of Abia State, wish all of us a blessed Christmas.”
Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State, posted on X: “Ndi Enugu, as we mark the birth of Christ, I pray that peace, love, and warmth fill every home. May this Christmas deepen our unity, awaken compassion, and strengthen our resolve as we build a brighter future for our children.
“May it also lead us into a New Year of renewed momentum and shared progress. Wishing you and your loved ones a colourful celebration.”
