Governor of Anambra State, Chukuwma Charles Soludo, alongside his wife and children attended the Anambra State Christmas Carol/Praise Night which took place on Saturday 20 December, 2025 at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, the State Capital.
Soludo described the experience as “uplifting” as Gozie Okeke, Buchi performed with their “powerful voices”.
The Governor, who assumed office in 2022 won a second term after emerging victorious in the Anambra Governorship election which held in November, 2025, expressed his excitement for the events lined up for the State’s ‘Onwa Dezemba celebrations’ which are focused on bringing “joy” to Anambrarians.
Governor Soludo posted on X: “Yesterday, in the company of my wife and children, I attended the Anambra State Christmas Carol/Praise Night at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. The experience was truly uplifting.
“The powerful voices of Ada Zion, Gozie Okeke, Buchi, and Jude Nnam were a blessing to behold. The special Christmas renditions by various chorale groups added great colour to the night.
“As we continue our Onwa Dezemba celebrations, I’m excited for the events lined up to bring joy and cheer to our people. Let’s spread the love and joy of the season.”
