Via X, the French President disclosed, at the request of the Nigerian Leader, France will bolster its partnership with the authorities, as well as, “support for the affected populations”.
“No one can remain a spectator”, Macron said.

“I conveyed France’s solidarity in the face of the various security challenges, particularly the terrorist threat in the North.
“At his request, we will strengthen our partnership with the authorities and our support for the affected populations. We call on all our partners to step up their engagement.
“No one can remain a spectator.”
As a result of Nigeria’s security challenges, President Tinubu declared national security emergency in November and ordered for recruitment of additional security personnel.
According to Institute for Security Studies (ISS) – issafrica.org:
Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a national security emergency, ordering the recruitment of more security personnel alongside other far-reaching measures.
The 26 November announcement reflects mounting pressure on the government following soaring insecurity marked by increased Boko Haram brutality and mass abductions by bandits. Violence in the country continues to expand southward, as seen in attacks in the previously unaffected Kwara State.
Tinubu’s declaration also follows United States President Donald Trump’s claims on 21 November that Nigeria has lost control of its security, and that the country is tolerating a Christian genocide. Nigeria’s government and experts have rejected the genocide claim as a one-sided oversimplification of a complex problem.
