Former President of the United States (US), Barack Obama, has released his Favourite Music for 2025 and two (2) Nigerian Afrobeats megastars made the list.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu and Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, professionally known as Burna Boy and Olamide respectively had their songs on the list which contains thirty (30) songs from across the world.
While Burna Boy made the list with his song ‘Tatata’ featuring Travis Scott, Olamide got in with the track ’99’, a very beautiful work where he featured Daecolm, Seyi Vibes, Asake and Young Jonn.
Obama, 44th President of America (from 2009 to 2017) wrote: “As 2025 comes to a close, I’m continuing a tradition that I started during my time in the White House: sharing my annual lists of favorite books, movies, and music. I hope you find something new to enjoy.”
Another Nigerian, Steven Umoh, professionally known as Obongjayar, who does his music in London, England, made the list with his song ‘Not In Surrender’.
