Super Falcons of Nigeria goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has bagged the award for the Goalkeeper Of The Year at the CAF Awards 2025 which took place on Wednesday 19 November, 2025 at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.
This makes it three (3) times back-to-back the Brighton and Hove Albion shot stopper has won the prize.
Morocco and Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) defender, Achraf Hakimi, emerged African Player of the Year; also, Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak carted the Women’s Player of the Year, while Yassine Bounou took home the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Hakimi wins the accolade after losing to Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen in 2023, and Ademola Lookman in 2024.
The 2024/25 season had Hakimi win the treble with French club, PSG. The former Inter defender won the Ligue 1, Coupe De France and Uefa Champions League with the Les Parisiens.
He also played a pivotal role in PSG reaching the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 which held in the United States of America (USA), however, the French Kings were humiliated 3-0 by Premier League side, Chelsea.
