Osimhen inspires Galatasaray to 3-1 comeback win against Goztepe

Kings of Turkey, Galatasaray, fought through an unexpected kick off at RAMS Park, as Efkan Bekiroğlu shocked the crowd with an early goal in the 6th minute.

Göztepe took advantage of a mistake in the defence of the Yellow-Reds to go in front and test the resilience of the league toppers.

However, that goal angered Okan Buruk’s men, who reacted in their trademark style — with high pressing, intensity, and willpower.

Just thirteen minutes later, Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, capitalized on another defensive lapse and levelled for the home side.

Osimhen’s goal totally changed the pattern of the match. From that moment on, Galatasaray took full charge, forcing their visitors deep and turning the match into a siege.

Göztepe showed resilience as long as they could, however, Malcom Bokele’s red card before halftime made their task nearly impossible.

In the 63rd minute, the hosts netted their second through Gabriel Sara, who converted Yunus Akgün’s assist, and substitute, Mauro Icardi, sealed the win for Galatasaray in the 66th minute.

The crowd erupted in celebration as Galatasaray turned the showdown around with precision.
