Harry Kane netted twice for Bayern Munich as the German Kings clinched an easy 5-1 triumph over Cypriot First Division side, Pafos FC, in the Uefa Champions League 2025/26 League Phase match on Tuesday 30 September, 2025 at Alphamega Stadium.
The England forward now has 17 goals in nine club games in 2025/26, which include 11 in his past five appearances, as well as one goal for the Three Lions in their 5-0 wallop of Serbia in September.
Kane opened scoring in the 15th minute for the visitors and Raphael Guerreiro converted Senegalese forward, Nicolas Jackson’s assist to make it two in the 20th minute.
Pafos FC were playing their first ever home game in the main phase of the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday night.
Olise assisted Jackson, who scored for Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians in the 31st minute to make it three and in the 34th minute, Kane netted his second and fourth for Bayern, before the home side pulled one back in the 45th minute through M. Orsic.
In the 68th minute, Olise scored the fifth to seal the victory for Bayern Munich; the Bundesliga 2024/25 winners almost added a sixth in second-half additional time only for Serge Gnabry and Jackson to both hit the post in quick succession.
On another side, Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, scored in the 16th minute from the penalty spot for Turkish Süper Lig side, Galatasaray, to stun English Kings, Liverpool, with a lone goal win on Tuesday.
The loss was Arne Slot’s Liverpool’s second back-to-back after the Reds were beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace in the Premier League last Saturday.
