French forward, Kylian Mbappe, netted a brace as La Liga 2025/26 toppers, Real Madrid, continued their perfect start to the season with a beautiful 4-1 triumph at Levante on Tuesday 23 September, 2025.
With the Los Blancos 2-1 in front, the Frenchman’s double within a period of two minutes sealed a sixth victory from their opening six encounters and move five (5) points clear of defending champions, Barcelona.
The former Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) playmaker scored his first from the penalty spot in the 64th minute, chipping over Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.
He then increased his tally to seven top flight goals this term with a deft finish after being slipped in by Arda Guler.
Brazil winger, Vinicius Jr, had taken Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid in front with a superb strike in the 28th minute, bending the ball into the corner of the net with the outside of his boot from a tight corner.
Vinicius Jr then turned provider as he picked out Franco Mastantuono with a pass that the Argentina international perfectly converted in the 38th minute.
Levante reduced the deficit through Etta Eyong in the 54th minute.
18-year old Mastantuono’s goal was his first for Real Madrid since his summer arrival.
