The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the launch of sales of forms and payment of ₦8.5 million for the 2026 Hajj Pilgrimage.
The announcement was made via a Statement signed by Jimoh Falilat Jumoke / Sodiq Abdulmumeen Folarin, Press Secretaries, State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Ilorin, Kwara State Government, on Monday 8 September, 2025.
Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, Executive Secretary of the Board, said, the cost for the 2026 Hajj, ₦8.5 million,was set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Abdulkadir further said, a total of “3,762” slots have been allocated for Kwara State.
The Statement reads: “The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the commencement of sales of forms and payment of 8.5 Million Naira for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
“The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir disclosed this while answering questions from journalists in Ilorin, the State capital.
“Alhaji Abdulkadir explained that the total cost for the 2026 Hajj was set at eight point five million naira (8.5m) by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
“According to him, the Commission has allocated a total of three thousand, seven hundred and sixty-two (3,762) slots for Kwara State.
“The Executive Secretary outlined the necessary requirements for intending pilgrims, noting the importance of having an active international passport and completing all necessary processes by the specified deadline.
“He disclosed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the initial deposit of 5Million Naira for residents of the State wishing to partake in the exercise. They are required to balance up before 8th October, 2025, which is the deadline for payment.
“Alhaji Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his efforts to ensure that every intending pilgrim from the State has a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience both in Kwara and during their time in Saudi Arabia.”
