Swedish forward, Alexander Isak, has officially joined the Premier League Champions, Liverpool, from Newcastle United permanently.
Isak moved to the Anfield as their new No.9 on a long-term contract, which he signed on deadline day after passing a medical successfully.
Sweden International, Isak, built himself as one of the Premier League’s top sharpshooters during his three seasons with Newcastle United.
Isak netted sixty-two (62) goals in 109 appearances for the Magpies, having arrived from Spanish La Liga outfit, Real Sociedad, in the summer of 2022.
Isak scored fifty-four (54) goals in 86 Premier League appearances for Newcastle United, with 23 of those goals coming in the 2024/25 season, when he finished second behind Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah, in the race for the Golden Boot.
The Swedish is now a teammate of Salah and is now looking to winning trophies at Anfield.
According to Liverpool official website, Isak said: “I feel amazing.
“It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there.”
Isak continued: “I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve. I’m a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well.
“I want to win everything. Yeah, [as simple as that].”
On the international stage, Isak has earned fifty-two (52) caps for Sweden.
