Governor Abdulrazaq approves 2024 cash backing for over 3,000 TESCOM Staff

Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Executive Governor of Kwara State, has approved the 2024 cash backing for “3,594” Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the State’s Teaching Service Commission.

The approval takes effect immediately.

This was announced via a Statement signed by Sam Bola Onile, Press Secretary, Kwara Tescom, on Monday 8th September, 2025.

The move is aimed at “improving the welfare of teachers in the State.”

The Statement reads: “Governor @RealAARahman has approved the 2024 cash backing for Three Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety-Four Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the State’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), with immediate effect.

“The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar disclosed this today in his office while addressing the management staff of the commission.

“He affirmed that the approval is another testimony to Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to improving the welfare of teachers in the State.

“Bello recalled that Governor AbdulRazaq on assumption of office in 2019 cash backed the promotions for the years 2015, 2016, 2017 and has since cash backed the promotions to 2023.

“The Chairman assured staff of the commission that the current administration will ensure that all promotions are cash backed as at when due.

“While appreciating Governor AbdulRazaq’s huge investment in teacher’s welfare, Bello assured him of the commission’s support and dedication to work at all times, with a promise to justify their pay with hard work.”
