Enyimba Football Club came from behind twice to defeat Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 match at Enyimba Stadium in Aba, Abia State on Sunday 21 September, 2025.
C. Nwosu had placed Bendel Insurance in front very early, in the 2nd minute, and the hosts equalized through J. Abiodun in the 18th minute.
The visitors went ahead again in the 59th minute when Wisdom Udom hit he back of the net, but, Enyimba hustled and restored parity just five (5) minutes later through K. Nweke from the penalty spot.
And in the 69th minute, the Elephants sealed victory through C. Michael to cart maximum points and remain at the top of the table.
With this outcome, Enyimba remain at the NPFL Summit with eleven (11) points, closely trailed by Nasarawa United, who have amassed ten (10) points, while, Bendel Insurance sit on the 15th spot with five (5) points.
