It was Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens that struck first early, in the 9th minute, through striker, Erling Haaland before Brazilian forward, Gabriel Martinelli, came off the bench to net a amazing injury-time leveller for Arsenal in the 2nd minute of additional time to share points with the visitors.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners created more chances in the second half, dominating all through, with Eberechi Eze and Leandro Trossard having shots blocked, however, time looked to be running out until Brazil international, Martinelli’s beautiful late goal.
Martinelli ran onto an Eze pass over the top before lifting his shot past goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and under the bar to clinch a share of the spoils.

According to Manchester City official X account, In his post-Arsenal comments, City head coach, Guardiola, described Arsenal as “by far one of the best teams in Europe”, and hailed the Cityzens for their “resilience”.
Guardiola said: “It’s been a tough week.
“Thursday, Sunday coming to London like this is so demanding. Difficult for time to focus on recovery, especially against this team.
“This is by far one of the best teams in Europe. Our resilience was fantastic.
“Last season we equalized in the last minute at the Etihad, this time they did it. But, its football . We take a point and in general [it’s]. a really good week.”
