It’s forty (40) years since Hadiza got married to her husband and former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on Sunday 17 August, 2025.
Hadiza Isma El-Rufai, former First Lady of Kaduna State, said, she and her husband have “been through a lot”, however, “love” helped them scale through.
Taking to X, Hadiza wrote: “Today marks forty years of my marriage to my husband @elrufai. It’s been quite a ride. We’ve been through a lot, but love has kept us together. Neither of us is perfect, and we’ll continue to strive for a more perfect union.
“One day, I’ll write that story.
“Happy anniversary to us.”
