‘We need to have an authentic register’ – Governor Eno kicks off APC membership revalidation and registration in Akwa Ibom

Umo Eno, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has officially kicked off the APC membership revalidation and registration in the State.

The Governor made known he validated his membership at Ibiakpan Obotim Ward II, Nsit Ubium, and received registration number 001.

Eno explained, the exercise is necessary to enable the Party keep an “authentic and updated” membership register.

He described the move as “strategic”, saying, it will help strengthen the ‘Broom’ Party, support President Tinubu’s transformation agenda for the country’s economy, as well as, bolster Senate President, Godswill Akpabio’s leadership.

Governor Eno posted on X: “I kicked off the APC membership revalidation and registration in Akwa Ibom by validating my membership at Ibiakpan Obotim Ward II, Nsit Ubium, where I received registration number 001. I encourage all party members and intending members to register at their wards within the next month so we can have an authentic and updated membership register.

“This is a strategic step to strengthen our party, align with the centre, support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic transformation agenda, and back our Senate President, Chief Godswill Akpabio, in his leadership at the Senate.”

Eno urged Party members in the South-South State to remain “united and peaceful”.

Governor Eno further posted: “Let us remain united, peaceful, and committed to building a stronger Akwa Ibom. Like the broom, our party’s symbol, no one can break us when we stand together. Make sure you register and secure your party membership ticket.”
