Ademola Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State, said, his administration has moved the Southwestern State from “poverty to prosperity, and from hopelessness to hope”.
The Governor made the statement following his return from a “short” vacation abroad, saying, he feels “refreshed and committed” to the sustenance of the “transformation” of Osun State.
Adeleke was welcomed by leaders and supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the people of the State.
Governor Adeleke wrote on X: *I returned to Osun State from a short vacation abroad, refreshed and committed to sustaining the transformation of our dear state. I was delighted to be welcomed by great leaders and supporters of our party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), as well as the good people of Osun at the PDP Secretariat, Osogbo.
“From 2022 to date, we have moved Osun from pity to confidence, from poverty to prosperity, and from hopelessness to hope. We have restored the dignity of workers and pensioners, improved healthcare, promoted mechanized agriculture, upgraded infrastructure, provided water and electricity, and empowered our youths, artisans, and cooperative societies.”
Adeleke said, his government lowered the tax burden through “harmonization and regulated the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy” in just a space of forty-five (45) days with the aim to “build the confidence of potential investors”.
He urged citizens of the State to work alongside his government for a “brighter future”, saying, “Osun must never return to the dark past of bad governance”.
Governor Adeleke further wrote: “To build the confidence of potential investors, we reduced the tax burden through harmonization and regulated the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy within 45 days. We reclaimed our state’s heritage in the mining sector, which had long been neglected.
“Osun must never return to the dark past of bad governance. Together, we shall sustain good governance and secure a brighter future for every citizen of Osun. Imole is here to stay!”
