Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur suffered its first top flight defeat in the Premier League 2025/26 after losing by a lone goal to AFC Bournemouth at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 30 August, 2025.
A boring Spurs recorded just one shot on target, which came in the 68th minute, in a disappointing performance that halted the Dutchman’s short winning streak following opening league victories against Burnley and Manchester City.
There were boos from the fans at home at the end of the clash.
Evanilson netted the only goal for the Cherries very early, in the 5th minute, and the visitors held on till the end and left Tottenham with all three (3) points.
Despite changes from Frank, Tottenham were unable to disturb Bournemouth, with substitutes Wilson Odobert shooting over in the 79th minute and Mathys Tel volleying wide in loss time.
