Hungarian attacking midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai, netted a beautiful free-kick to earn Liverpool a lone goal triumph over Arsenal in the Premier League 2025/26 match at Anfield on Sunday 31 August, 2025.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were dominant in the first 45 minutes, however, Arne Slot’s Liverpool stepped things up and got rewarded when Hungary international found the back of the net late, in the 83rd minute, to hand the Reds all three (3) points.
Liverpool are now the only team with a perfect record in the Premier League 2025/26, moving atop of Chelsea, who defeated Fulham by two (2) goals to zero (0) at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Arsenal were not fortunate enough as they fielded against the Reigning Kings without winger, Bukayo Saka, and then lost William Saliba early into the showdown at Liverpool after picking up an injury.
Swedish sharpshooter, Viktor Gyokeres, fought hard to get into the game, and Noni Madueke caused some problems, however, the visitors were not able to break through.
With this result, Liverpool have climbed straight to the top with nine (9) point after winning three out of three matches, trailed by Chelsea, who have seven (7) points, while, Arsenal are third with six (6) points.
