Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, said, his administration is working closely with the Federal Government to ensure the restoration of key routes across Edo North, Central, and South Senatorial Districts.
The Governor said, “Road infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth”, adding, his government is committed to fixing as many roads as possible across the South-South State.
This is coming as the Governor officially flagged off emergency palliative works on failed sections of critical Federal Roads across Edo North on Thursday.
Okpebholo said, by fixing the roads, “businesses can thrive and lives can be made easier.”
Taking to X, Governor Okpebholo said: “I officially flagged off emergency palliative works on failed sections of critical Federal Roads across Edo North.
“This strategic intervention covering over 9.6km of road networks spanning Auchi, Igarra, Aiyetoro, Ibillo, and surrounding communities underscores our administration’s commitment to ensuring safer, more accessible roads for all Edo citizens.
“Road infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth, and we are working closely with the Federal Government to restore key routes across Edo North, Central, and South Senatorial Districts.
