Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has come out to attack former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai; and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, following El-Rufai’s “baseless attack” against President Tinubu’s administration, last Saturday in Sokoto.
Morka said, El-Rufai and the his ADC Coalition members “are on a mission to upend the presidential rotational principle designed to promote national unity.”
He said, what El-Rufai and Atiku want to do to Nigeria is the “real threat to the unity” of the country.
In his statement titled ‘Mallam El-Rufai’s infantile politics is the real threat to Nigeria’s progress’, Morka said: “@elrufai baseless attack against President Tinubu’s administration, last Saturday in Sokoto, is no more than the waspish rants of an inconsolable sulker.
“It is now clear to all Nigerians that El-Rufai and his cohorts in ADC are on a mission to upend the presidential rotational principle designed to promote national unity and cohesion in the country through the imposition of Atiku as presidential candidate of ADC in the middle of a southern presidency rotation.
“It was Atiku’s selfish and obdurate refusal to respect the rotation principle during the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election that directly resulted in PDP’s virtual cremation.
“El-Rufai and Atiku want to do to Nigeria what Atiku did to PDP. That is the real threat to the unity, peace and progress of Nigeria. Nigerians will not stand for that…”
